A few notes on eligibility for the Cash for Clunkers program:
 

• Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old when you trade it in.
• This only applies to new vehicle purchases. You can get a credit when you buy a new vehicle and also if you lease for more than five years.

• Your vehicle must be in drivable condition.
